Have you ever done a no spend weekend, week or month? I've done no spend weekends, but weeks and months? LOL. I'm still working on those. In this blog post, I wanted to give you ten things you can do for free, at home and out and about! Keep on reading because at the bottom of this post is a free printable for ya!
Are you ready? Let's take a look at this list together!
1. Walk a mile or two
Hey, exercise is good for you, girl! Get outside on those nice and sunny days and go to your favorite park or just walk around your neighborhood. Make it more fun by calling up a friend to walk with you!
2. Make a gratitude list
Take time to sit down and write down things you're grateful for. This is one of my favorite things to do when I feel weighed down by life or even just bored.
3. Organize that closet
We all have that one closet ( or desk, or drawer ) that is in desperate need of cleaning out. Take some time to tackle that project, I promise you'll feel amazing afterwards getting rid of some old stuff you no longer need.
4. Invite a friend over to your home
Call up one of your best friends and invite them over for some girl talk. Make breakfast with stuff you already have and just relax. My friends and I spend more time at home then going out and it's just as fun as being in a restaurant. :)
5. Read that book on your shelf
I don't know about you, but I have a stack of books I have yet to read. Like, 5. It's so funny because I'm always finding new books to buy and my stack keeps growing. I made it a rule for myself that I'm not gonna buy any other books until I read the ones I already have. Try to read a book in a weekend, or even a day!
6. Find free printable art to print
This is so much fun! If you already have printer ink and paper to print on, then you're good to go. You can find tons of printable art for free on Pinterest, and I even have a whole collection here in my shop that you can get for free when you join my email list. Take a look at them here, you may find your new favorite piece of art. :)
7. Send snail mail
Write a relative or a friend a sweet note. This is so much fun and if you're feeling really creative, make your own cards with what you have at home. Use cardstock, markers, pens, stamps, pictures, etc. Get those creative juices flowing!
8. Tackle a DIY project
Take a look at some DIY's on Pinterest and see if there's one you can do with stuff you already have at home. Right now I have a few cans of spray paint and I'm going to pick a color to spray paint an old vintage cake stand I have.
9. Bake something sweet
See what ingredients you already have and find a recipe you can make with them. A couple weeks ago I found a brownie recipe and I didn't have to spend a thing because I already had what I needed. It felt so good to make something from scratch!
10. Find a free concert/event to go to in your city
Things like this usually happen more in the spring/summer months. Take a look online and see if you can find any fun, free concerts or festivals happening in your area. My city does a free concert series every summer and it's always so much fun!
BONUS: A free printable just for you!
